Museum to host Watercolor Society of Oregon convention

MCMINNVILLE, OR. - The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum will host several events for the Watercolor Society of Oregon's Fall Convention, which will be held October 2-4. Each year the society hosts two conventions and exhibitions in different locations around Oregon.

The 44th Annual Transparent Watercolor Juried Exhibition will open with an artist reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Evergreen IMAX Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 3. All active members were eligible to submit images of their artwork earlier this summer, and the nationally recognized juror, Robbie Laird, selected 80 paintings from 360 images for the exhibition. All of these paintings are for sale and will be displayed during the month of October on the second floor of the IMAX Theater.

The opening reception on Oct. 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. is free and open to the public.  For more information about the Watercolor Society of Oregon and its semi-annual conference, please visit www.watercolorsocietyoforegon.com.
