Position Title: Director of Development
The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, and Captain Michael King Smith Educational Institute is a mission-driven non profit committed to Ňinspire and educate, to promote and preserve aviation history, and to honor the patriotic service of our veteransÓ. Our 121,000 square foot museum houses over 80 vintage aircraft including Howard Hughes' legendary flying boat: the Spruce Goose. We also have OregonŐs largest 3D IMAX Theater and in July 2008 will be opening our new space museum which will add an additional 120,000 square feet of exhibit and event space.
We are currently accepting applications for a Director of Development. The Director will lead the development, planning and execution of a comprehensive, ambitious fundraising plan with an increased focus on sustainable support for operating and program expenses, and for capital investment in the museum. The incumbent will oversee all fundraising activities, and will be responsible for ensuring that processes and systems are in place to effectively support a high functioning development operation. The Director will be an integral member of the Evergreen Aviation MuseumŐs small but highly skilled team of professionals which include Directors of Special Events, Public Relations, and Education.
