12th Annual Captain Michael King Smith Private Pilot Scholarship

Applications will be due on May 16, 2008.
Each year, the Scholarship Committee selects two candidates to receive
Private Pilot scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded to two Yamhill
County Junior or Senior High School students (ages 16-18) who possess an enthusiasm for aviation. To apply, students must submit a complete application which includes a brief resume, a one-page essay describing their interest in obtaining a Private Pilot license and pursuing an aviation career, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or a career guidance counselor.

To be considered, the completed application must be received no later than May 16, 2008.
Submissions will be reviewed by the scholarship committee, and finalists will be notified for personal interviews. The winners will be announced by
June 11, 2008.
