Cub Scout Rocketry Day
October 11, Check-in 9AM. Award Presentation: 2:30PM
Cub scouts! Come explore the world of rocketry. Cubs will build four different types of rockets.  Scouts will compete in paper and straw rocket completions. In addition to the fun rocketry activities, the Space Museum will be hosting a Space Derby.  Cubs can race their rocket against fellow Cubs on our Space track.

Saturday, October 11, All Day
Join us for cockpit viewings, veteran aircraft presentations and tours. Speakers at 10:30am and 2:30pm.


Speaker Series: Dick Rutan, Voyager Commander

Saturday, October 18, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m
The Voyager flight was the first to fly around the world non-stop, without refueling. Departing December 14, 1986 from Edwards Airforce Base in California, the historic flight took 9 days 3 minutes and 44 seconds. Mr. Rutan is a distinguished pilot, served in the United States Air Force, and has received Silver Star, five Distinguished Flying Crosses, 16 Air Medals, and the Purple Heart, amongst many other awards. Mr. Rutan was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 2002.

Oregon Aviation Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony
Sunday, October 19, 1:00 – 3 p.m.

The sixth annual Hall of Honor Ceremony will feature the induction of Lieutenant Colonel
James McRoberts Dixon, Major General David M. Jones, Major General Charles A. Sams and Evergreen International Aviation Chairman, Timothy G. Wahlberg. Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Mike Burrill, Sr., Past Chair of the Oregon Aviation Board, with keynote speaker Dick Rutan, Voyager Commander.

A Night with the Men of Easy Company
Friday, October 24, Doors Open at 5:30 p.m.

Join us for an exclusive opportunity to meet the original “Band of Brothers” at the Evergreen Aviation Museum. The veterans of the 101st Airborne Division, 506th PIR, E-Company, the subject of the HBO mini-series, Band of Brothers, will be joining us for a Members Only dinner event in the Evergreen Aviation Museum.

Trick or Treat in Outer Space
Saturday, October 25, 1:00 – 3 p.m.

Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum’s Aerospace Book Club presents great Halloween activities for families. The event will include Halloween crafts, a costume contest, and a book reading, all topped off with safe Trick or Treating in the Space Museum! A Petting Zoo will also be open to the public from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
